The Kronos world rally team has announced that former 1995 World Champion Colin McRae will subsitute for the injured Sebastien Loeb in the upcoming Rally of Turkey following Loeb’s recent mountian biking accident.

It’s always great to see McRae in action and the fact that a media savy star of his ability (25 WRC wins) is without a regular ride at the top levels of the sport is a travesty. McRae will be joined by his regular co-driver Nicky Grist. No word yet if this is a one-off appearence or if the experienced due will also run in the Australian Rally later in the month.
