According to reports on Autosport.com that 3-time Champ Car champion Sebastian Bourdais has given up on his long held ambitions to land a seat on Formula One, however he has confirmed that he will participate in next year’s Le Mans 24 Hour as a member of the new Peugeot team.
Meanwhile Bourdais winning move on the last lap of last weekend’s Champ Car finale in Mexico is coming in for some criticism.
[...] Despite his earlier announcement that he had pretty much given up looking for a seat in Formula One, it looks as if three time Champ Car champion Sebastian Bourdais is getting his chance at a possible Grand Prix drive. Toro Rosso, the only team still with two open seats, has announced that Bourdais will take part in an upcoming test session. A Toro Rosso spokeswoman has denied, however, that the test in a precursor to a race driver for Bourdais in 2007. “For now there are no discussions about driving next year,” the spokeswoman told autosport.com. “It is just a test.” [...]
